With a BA in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work, Julie has spent her career supporting people through life’s most significant transitions. She began her career helping families navigate the transition to long-term care and later served as a hospice social worker, supporting individuals and their loved ones through death, dying, and grief. Today, Julie is also a psychotherapist who works with individuals and couples, with a focus on life transitions and grief and loss.

At Scotia Partners, Julie brings this depth of experience to the financial planning process. Through values discovery, exploration of clients’ money histories, and conversations about the behavioral patterns that influence financial decisions, she helps clients connect their financial plans with what matters most to them.

Julie also works with individuals and couples as they prepare for major life transitions, particularly retirement. Through a coaching-oriented approach, she helps clients explore the questions that extend beyond financial readiness: identity, purpose, relationships, daily routines, and what will make this next chapter meaningful. By supporting clients in clarifying their values, envisioning the life they want to build, and identifying intentional steps toward that vision, Julie helps bridge the gap between having a financial plan and feeling ready to live it. Her goal is to help clients approach retirement and other significant transitions with greater clarity, confidence, and a sense of purpose.
